About Arborilogical West

Chris Pierce brought his love of trees to Pagosa Springs in 1997 after relocating here from Dallas, Texas. Before moving to Pagosa Springs, he spent 10 years with Arborilogical Services in Dallas where he received his training.

20 years dealing with trees and plants has allowed Chris to specialize in working with the native trees and vegetation in Southwest Colorado. As a certified arborist, Chris deals with problems and solutions unique to our area, such as diagnosing insect and fungal diseases and remedies and planning correct timing of treatments.

Arborilogical West was formed with the intention of educating clients on the history and biology of our native plant species, enemies of the plants and trees, and working solutions to maintain your trees and plants for years to come. Chris does extensive work with Construction Mitigation - planning a strategy for your site BEFORE groundbreaking which can save your trees.

In addition to tree maintenance, troubleshooting and treatments, Chris has also spent 10 years as a tree climbing judge at the international level. If you see a guy way up in the treetops in Pagosa Springs, it's most likely Chris, hanging out with squirrels and birds and tending to the trees in Pagosa Country.
